1. Full formal combined visual inspection
This will include the present condition of each electrical item - the plug - the flex - the fuse, to ensure they conform to:
 *Code of Practice for In-service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment*
 

Where necessary, plugs and fuses will be replaced to conform to standards (*below) and electrical cables repaired where practical

2. Testing - P.A.T
All portable electrical equipment that is supplied by a plug and socket connection, will be tested with a dedicated portable appliance testing instrument. We use the best testing equipment available to date
  • Earth continuity test for Class 1 appliances
  • Insulation resistance test
  • IEC leads
 
 
3. Functional checks
To ensure that the each item is working in-accordance after testing
